Your child might wish to focus on English Language or English Literature – or zoom in on a particular skill, such as writing an article or a letter, composing a ‘Macbeth’ essay or simply understanding the poetry. Your child might find English difficult and simply need help to pass – they may even be resitting the subject at Exeter College. Alternatively, they may already feel confident and require that extra push to achieve a grade 7.

Whatever the focus or the grade you want, I can design a course that is tailored to the specific needs of your child. I teach in a way that is clear, structured and understandable, and have an expert understanding of what is required to pass English. At the same time, I like to stretch and challenge my students to achieve their highest potential, and know what is needed to achieve the highest grades. 

I offer both individual and small group tuition, face-to-face or online. This can take place after school, at weekends or in the school holidays, and can be intensified in the run-up to exams. I can set additional revision tasks to be completed at home, and will provide regular updates about the progress and next steps for your child.
