Secondary schools decide whether to place students in top or bottom sets - and what their GSCE targets are - based on SATs scores. Consequently, these results often have a far-reaching impact in children's lives.

Your child might need to develop inferencing skills for the reading paper. They may require support recognising different verb tenses for the SPaG paper or expanding their range of sentence types for a better writing score. Your child might be aiming for full marks - or simply need additional help to reach the expected score of 100.

Whatever their needs, I design tailored SATs preparation programmes for pupils in Year 5 and Year 6. In addition to SATs preparation, I offer foundational support programmes for younger pupils in Years 1, 2, 3 and 4; these courses strengthen the fundamental skills of reading, writing and SPaG, which are crucial for later success in education (and life in general).  

I offer both face-to-face and online tuition, either one-to-one or in small groups of friends. This can take place straight after school (I am two minutes' walk from Stoke Hill Junior School) - or at weekends or during holidays if that is a better time for your child to learn.
